Offshore Windfarm

Dogger Bank D is a proposed new fourth phase of the Dogger Bank Wind Farm.

Located in the North Sea around 210km off the Yorkshire coast at its closest point to shore, Dogger Bank D has the potential to export up to 1.5GW of renewable electricity in support of the decarbonisation of the UK energy system.

The Project

Dogger Bank D was announced in February 2023. This new phase seeks to maximise the capacity of the eastern portion of the original Dogger Bank C area.

Dogger Bank D is being developed at a crucial time for the UK’s energy sector. With advancements in offshore wind technology, the power from homegrown, clean renewables and has the potential to ensure the UK can transition to a secure and affordable energy system.

Targeted consultation on the offshore Artificial Nesting Structure has now closed (30 March 2026). Thank you to all who provided feedback.
